Prehistory: Today along with Jewish children who study in Jewish schools and kindergartens and are deeply involved into Jewish communal life, there are many Jewish children who study in ordinary schools. Among such kids children-at-risk can be distinguished. More often such children are left on their owns and nobody takes care of them out of home. “Lev-Beiteinu” group was founded in order to help such children, to pay proper attention to them and to lavish care upon them.
This group includes: Jewish children ( according to the Law of Restitution) from 6 up to 17 years old, who belong to the children-at-risk group and who need social and spiritual rehabilitation and are not involved into life of Jewish community ( do not attend Jewish schools, Sunday schools, etc.) and:
• drug addicts
• children whose parents are drug addicts or alcoholics
• orphans or half-orphans
• children whose parents are invalids or unemployed
• children from incomplete and needy families
• Chernobyl victims
• disposed to malefactions
Project purposes:
Social assistance to children-at-risk ( meals, medical assistance, clothing, etc.);
Social adaptation in a society and psychological rehabilitation ;
Assistance in studies;
Involvement into life of Jewish community , informal Jewish education;
Development of individual abilities
