posteroftheprojectforschools.jpgWith the framework of tolerance project “Hand in Hand” and “Open House” realized by Hesed with the help of Yad Vashem Museum (Israel), Rotschield Foundation (England) and Kurt Lewin (the USA) on December 4-6 “Hesed-Arieh” opened its doors for 35 participants of the workshop.

The workshop for pupils, students and teachers included lectures “The artists - Jews of Lviv”, “Jews-dramatists” , “Traditions of Jewish people. Holidays of Jewish calendar”, demonstration of the films “My Jewish Lviv”, “Festival of Jewish Theatrical Art in Lviv” and performances “Alarm” and “Wave”.  The exhibition of children’s drawings “History and we” aroused keen interest among the participants and guests.  They summed up the contests of literary-musical compositions “Children and Holocaust” and “Closed pages of history. My civil position”.

The pupils from seven Ukrainian, Polish and Russian schools , children of Hesed’s art-studio and children’s program “Beiteinu” as well as the pupils of Ivano-Frankivsk schools actively participated in the contests. The winners were awarded with diplomas, toasters and booklets. The best 15 pupils will visit Korchaks’ museum in Warsaw during their spring vacation.
