“Day Center”

Program for not mobile and people with limited mobility. Was founded in May, 2001. Over 100 aged people enjoy Hesed’s warm home. Here they are always welcomed with a friendly chat, delicious food and unforgettable meetings.  The possibility to communicate, to celebrate Jewish holidays and birthdays together,  to do physiotherapy exercises and needlework is extremely important and necessary for the lonely and with limited mobility elderly people and  helps to feel themselves full members of  big and friendly Jewish family. Cooperation with other programs and meetings with the youth significantly contributes to the program development. Those who are unable to get Hesed independently are transported by Hesed’s bus.

I was lucky to attend Day Center since 2002. This program deserves many compliments. Warm and friendly atmosphere warms you up, brings you joy and pleasure, allows to feel concern and attention, makes forget about misery, loneliness and maladies.

Here we relax, communicate with each other, learn more about  the history, traditions and customs of Jewish people , listen to the music, learn songs. We come here like on holiday! We adore needle work which brings us big pleasure and satisfaction. We are fond of making greeting cards, embroidering, knitting and are happy that our handicrafts bring people joy.

From time to time we visit theater, go sightseeing and enjoy walks in the park. We feel like one big and friendly family and truly call Day Center our second home!
