Family club "Shalom haverim"
Print

foto_hesed_sec__22.jpg«Shalom Chaverim» is simultaneously a greeting and the name of our Family Club . The Club as one of the first communal programs was opened at the end of 1999.  It provides parents and children with unique possibility to participate in the communal life simultaneously.

In order to keep everyone interested, we arrange lectures, chats, tours and educational-entertainment programs. We compose our own scenarios and enjoy participation in mini-performances, role games or simply play. We work together in the kitchen according to the project “Recipes of our grandmothers”. During our meetings we write poetry, songs and greeting cards – presents for birthdays.

We enjoy our common work and help each other. Joint projects with the Club are always interesting.  Our customers become acquainted with Jewish tradition and strengthen inter-family relations what sufficiently supplements to the lack of communication. The action “The debt of alive” – care of graves in Jewish cemetery – leaves no one indifferent.

Opinions of Family Camp participants Print

foto_hesed_sels__14.jpgThe Borysyuks: Everything was unexpected, new and original. A lot of surprises. Perfect organization.   We have learnt a lot about culture and traditions of Jewish people.

The Rabinovichs: Very warm atmosphere. Our kids were crying when leaving their new friends.

The Gritsenkos: We are here for the second time. We were surprised by our own wish to create. Our son Sergey, normally quiet and closed in himself, amazed everyone with his extraordinary dancing.

Sergey Gritsenko: I felt like awoken from the dream.

The Stetsenks (Drogobych):
Pity that everything has passed so fast. It was very interesting…

Maksymyak Tonya:
It was great that we were constantly busy with doing something. On the last day it was difficult to say good-bye, we were almost crying. We wished it could be continued…

The Zolotaryevs: It is wonderful that “family camp” is one of Hesed’s family programs. We felt the atmosphere of mutual understanding and kindness. Thanks to the people who worked with us, their warmth and wish to help, we were especially penetrated by Jewish tradition. Roksana deserves special compliments. She is a wonderful administrator and is always ready to help…

So, the days in the camp passed like one minute. We did not want to say good-bye. But it is not forever.  Hesed is always waiting for you!  Just remember about us, come to us and we will never let you be bored!
